VIENNA (KDN) – From 28th to 29th of December 2016, Austria’s Semmering ski resort in the Alps will host the last ladies FIS Ski World Cup Races of the year. The best female skiers of the world will compete in two different disciplines before they head home for New Year’s Eve.
Semmering has been hosting Ladies Ski World Cup every second year since 1995. Since then 11 World Cup races have taken place on the Zauberberg Ski Course. The upcoming event will be the 12. Ski race in region’s 20 years history.
According to International Federation of Ski – FIS, December 28 is scheduled for ladies Giant Slalom on the Zauberberg ski circus while 29th is for traditional Night Slalom under the breathtaking floodlights.
Semmering Ski resort is located 40 miles southwest of the capital Vienna and is home of luxury hotels in the snow covered eastern Alps. More than ten thousand ski lovers are expected to show up for the 2016’s last major ski event.
