Turkish terror state killed two international fighters of US-backed SDF

Michael Israel from California, US and Anton Lescheck from Germany lost their lives after Turkish airstrikes hit their compound in western Manbij

MANBIJ (ANF) – In a written statement, Manbij Military Council (MMC) announced that 2 of its international fighters fell as martyrs in Manbij during the attacks of the occupant Turkish army and affiliate gang groups. MMC noted that many international volunteers arrived in Manbij after the liberation of the town, refusing the Turkish state’s incursion into Syria and the cruelty against civilians. MMC stated that Robîn Agirî and Zana Ciwan were among the first group of volunteers in Manbij and have resisted the attacks of the Turkish army and affiliate gang groups.

Manbij Military Council announced that the two international fighters fell as martyrs during Turkish warplanes’ bombardment of MMC positions in western Manbij on November 24. Born in California, USA, Robîn Agirî joined the revolution of Syrian peoples in July, 2016, saying “There is a revolution for the freedom of peoples in Rojava and North Syria. I came here to participate in this sacred struggle.”

Born in Germany, Zana Ciwan joined the ranks of Manbij Military Council in September, 2016, saying: “The war in Rojava and Northern Syria means a lot to me because the people living here do not accept cruelty, slavery or terror. I will support this democratic revolution to the end.”
