BITLIS (KDN) – One Turkish soldier was killed and another two were wounded on June 27 in an attack carried out by Kurdish forces i the eastern Kurdish province of Bitlis, the Turkish General Staff has announced.
Kurdish Defense Forces detonated a hand-made explosive placed in a rural area of Bitlis during Turkish security forces operations.
One soldier was killed and two were wounded in the attack, the General Staff said in a statement issued on its website.
Meanwhile, one soldier was killed and another was wounded in a separate PKK attack targeting a military post region in the Dağlıca district of the eastern province of Hakkari late on June 26.
Infantry Specialized Sgt. Mehmet Aslangiray was killed in the attack while another soldier was wounded.
