Euro 2016: GERMANY 0-0 POLAND

Arkadiusz Milik wasted two glorious chances to score as both sides moved a step closer to qualification for the Euro 2016 knockout stages with a point apiece at Stade de France

Germany and Poland cancelled each other out to both edge a step closer towards qualification for the Euro 2016 knockout stages in a 0-0 stalemate in Paris.

Arkadiusz Milik spurned a guilt-edged chance to put Poland in front early in the second half as he failed to make good enough contact with Kamil Grosicki’s dangerous cross.

World champions Germany struggled to create much up against a sturdy Poland side, who will feel the more aggrieved out of the two with the draw.

Milik passed up another glorious chance to score in the second half, before Mesut Ozil flew straight up the other end to force Lukasz Fabianski into making a decent save.

In another encounter of group B England won 2-1 over Wales thanks to Sturridge late goal. In group C Northern Ireland beat Ukraine 2-0.

In yesterday matches Russia lost 1-2 to Slovakia, Switzerland shared points with Romania in a 1-1 draw. Euro 2016 host France beat Albania 2-0.
