Six Turkish security personnel killed by Kurdistan Defense Forces

MARDIN (KDN) – A total of six Turkish security personnel were killed and 12 were wounded in attacks by Kurdistan Defense Forces in the Nusaybin and Midyat districts of the southeastern Kurdish province of Mardin and the Ovacık district of the eastern province of Dersim on May 26.

Kurdish forces detonated a homemade bomb in Nusaybin, leaving one specialized Turkish sergeant and one police officer , identified as Uğur Yıldız, dead. Nine other security forces were wounded and taken to the Nusaybin State Hospital.

Meanwhile, two Turkish security personnel were wounded during clashes with Kurdish forces in Ovacık district of Dersim province. One of the injured personnel later succumbed to his injuries.
