Kurds drive Turkey-backed ISIS terrorists from border town, kill 70 militants: spokesman

GIRE SPI (KDN) – Talal Silo, the spokesman for the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces said that their forces drive Turkey-backed Daesh terrorists from the Kurdish town of Gire Spi (Tal Abyad) located near the Syrian-Turkish border and killed 70 militants during the operation.

“All the attacks have been repulsed, and all the places where the terrorists have succeeded to gain a footing are mopped up,” Talal Silo told Russia’s RIA Novosti.

He added that Daesh, which is backed by Turkey’s Islamist AKP government, had lost some 70 militants during the operation.
