WASHINGTON (KDN) – U.S. Vice President Joe Biden has called on Turkey to cease artillery strikes targeting Syrian Kurdish forces in northern Syria.

According to a statement issued by White House, “The vice president urged Turkey to show reciprocal restraint by ceasing artillery strikes in the area,” following a phone conversation between Biden and Erdogan’s Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu on Feb. 13, during which the Turkish pm informed the U.S. leader about Turkey’s ‘concerns’ on the issue.
