Kurds seize large amount of hidden weapons in Sarrin

SARRIN (ANF) – Kurdish YPG/YPJ forces seized large amounts of military equipment during their combing operations following the liberation of Sarrin in northern Raqqa province.

In a statement, YPG Media Center said that its sweeping and searching activities in Sarrin after the town’s liberation continue. YPG announced that its forces spotted an ISIS gang who was in hiding, and the gang was killed after he fired upon the guerillas that had spotted him. YPG/YPJ forces seized large amounts of guns and ammunition during their search, and cleared 310 mines during their mine sweeping activities.

YPG Media Center reported that ISIS gangs carried out an attack from the Serêkaniyê village to the east of Sirrîn this morning, and the clashes here between YPG/YPJ forces and ISIS gangs continue.

OPERATION AGAINST ISIS GANGS POSITIONED IN THE PANORAMA REGION OF HESEKÊ

YPG/YPJ forces in Hesekê continue their operations against ISIS gangs in the city center. YPG Media Center stated that heavy clashes occurred continue during the operation against ISIS gangs positioned in the Panorama region of Hesekê, and one guerilla fell as martyr during these clashes. The number of ISIS casualties has not yet been identified.

SUICIDE ATTACK IN NESTEL VILLAGE PREVENTED

YPG Media Center ended its statement by noting that YPG/YPJ forces killed an ISIS gang who was about to carry out a suicide attack in Nestel village to the west of Mebruka on the night of July 28.
